以楚魂之名葬下自己的诗篇后，屈原吩咐宋玉明日就离开这里，而他自己，要与楚国共存亡。宋玉也不想走，但屈原语重心长地告诉他，他们离开，是为了楚国之将来，为了楚国之兴盛。第二日，白起带兵来到了屈原和莫愁的住处。他带来了秦国相印，受秦王之命请屈原入秦为相。屈原面不改色地抚着他的古琴，言明他绝不可能为灭了楚国的秦国效力。白起见屈原并不领情，便提出给他一天的时间考虑，随即命人看着屈原。当夜，天空突降飞雪，莫愁和屈原在屋内促膝而谈。屈原说起最近常常做梦，梦见楚怀王、碧霞、父亲和母亲，还有大哥和署儿。年少已成往事，屈原不再执念，他也从不后悔和莫愁相识，他感谢莫愁出现在自己的生命中。莫愁问屈原是否会答应秦王，屈原淡笑着表示，这些年他放下了自己的骄傲和冲动，放下了一切，唯一放不下的是楚国的河山，是楚国的百姓。看着这样的屈原，莫愁心里有了答案，她知道，屈原始终未变。
