神代广平（福山雅治饰）曾经有过乐团出道的经验。虽发行过一首超人气歌曲，但那之后却开始没落，在打出知名度前就与唱片公司解约。神代也渐渐感到自身才能极限而渐渐远离音乐界。 20年过去了，神代迈入40岁。在这20年中，神代无法完全割舍自己对音乐的喜爱，浑浑噩噩地过着每一天。他也由于自身英俊的外表吸引了许多女性，却没有一位真正能打动心弦的人出现。就在他开始自暴自弃之时，与孤独相伴的女性佐野樱（藤原樱饰）出现了。佐野与自己一样，对人生感到厌恶、绝望。但神代却无意间发现，佐野有着与生俱来的好歌喉，让他萌生再一次挑战、好好面对音乐的念头。灰色的视野渐渐辽阔染上虹彩，谱出一段爱的乐章。
