Dünyaca ünlü Fransız sinema dergisi Cahiers du cinéma’nın geçtiğimiz yılın en iyi filmi seçtiği Küçük Serseri, aslen Bruno Dumont’un ARTE adlı kanal için çektiği bir mini dizi. Fakat televizyonda görücüye çıkmadan hemen önce, Cannes Film Festivali'nde "Yönetmenlerin 15 Günü" bölümünde gösterilmesinin ardından pek çok festivalin övgüye şayan gedikli yapımlarından biri haline geldiği söylenebilir. Film oldukça ilginç bir polisiye - komedi kırması örneği sunuyor. Fransa’nın kuzeyindeki bir kasabada, ineklerin içlerinde insan organları bulunmasının ardından gün yüzüne çıkan bir dizi garip cinayetin araştırılma sürecini perdeye taşıyan film; Dumont'un İnsanlık'ı ile İkiz Tepeler'in kendilerine has kara mizah kimyasını tutturmayı başarıyor.
