夏の妹
一通の手紙がわたしを呼んだ
夏休み、東京に住む少女の素直子は、ピアノの家庭教師で父の婚約者でもある桃子とともに、船に乗って沖縄を訪問。彼女は、鶴男と名乗る人物から先に一通の手紙を受け取り、自分の異母兄かもしれないという彼を訪ねてこの地にやって来たのだった。素直子は港で観光客相手に沖縄の言葉を一語百円で教える奇妙な青年と出会うが、彼こそが鶴男だった。しかし鶴男は、かつて上京して姿を目にした桃子のことを素直子と勘違いしていた。
