En aquesta sèrie, la Masha explica a les seves joguines contes de fades russos clàssics, així com alguns contes de fades dels germans Grimm. Tanmateix, la Masha explica els contes a la seva manera (com posar un trencanous màgic que es converteix en príncep a l'hora d'adaptar La Ventafocs). També barreja la moral de les històries afegint-hi sovint un final addicional perquè encaixi amb el que explica a les seves joguines.
