Radnja serije prati dva anđela koja su poslata na Zemlju da pomognu ljudima. Krila tih anđela niko nije u mogućnosti da vidi. Njihova imena su Zak Gist i Tom Greening. Zak je več dugo anđeo i već je bio na Zemlji, a Tom je tek novi anđeo koji polako uči o ljudima. Gospodin Mountjoy je shvatio da su njih dvoje najbolji za tu misiju i šalje ih kao advokate odbrane u Jork (Engleska), gde susreću gđu Sherringham. Ona im obezbeđuje prostor i osniva firmu. U sudu, Zak i Tom sreću njihovog večitog protivnika, Ričarda Pembruka, koji je inače crni anđeo ali i tužilac na Zemlji. Zak sreće Hanu. Upoznali su se zadnji put kada je bio na Zemlji. Glavno pravilo anđela je da se ne mešaju u slobodnu volju ljudi, ali imaju moć da utiču na ljudski razum. Ipak, oni tome donekle odolevaju.
